House Committee Chairman

What a GREAT month! I would like to thank all the previous and current House Committee members for their dedication and contributions to our Post this past year. Your house committee has made a lot of improvements this past months. We have cleaned the carpets, installed plastic strips between the store room and the bar to help keep the heat out of the bar, and purchased a new Frost-Free Freezer to keep your beer mugs nice and COLD! The pool table has been donated to the RED HORSE Squadrons at Hurlburt and the personnel in the 556th and 823rd are very appreciative of our donation. We have also added 3 new game machines for your pleasure. During the last work detail, the post attic was cleaned and items no longer required were removed. WOW we can store more seasonal items up there. Thanks to all that made this happen. 
    We have been given a $2500 gift card from Home Depot to make much needed improvements to the outside of our post. Many Thanks to our Past Commander Gene Carroll and his endless efforts in making this happen! We are looking at painting the entire outside of the post, repairing the screened back porch, replacing the door, re-installing the awning over the back door and most needed, enhancing the front entrance by repairing the entrance awning, replacing the carpet with a non skid coating and either replacing the railing or refurbishing the existing one.
    We will be asking for assistance every second Saturday of the month starting at 9am with beautification and functionality projects throughout the post. Let’s all work together and make our jewel shine it brightest!! There will be many more great things to come in the very new future. See you around the VFW Post 7674.
