Well here we are again with the Summer months almost behind us, and the Snow Birds already thinking about packing up to revisit us once again.
    We have had a very slow summer this year as far as participation in Post activities is concerned.  While we fully understand about the economy being in the basement, we must support our Post activities with enthusiasm if we are going to remain with our heads above water so to speak.
    We have had to raise our bar prices once again so as to remain in the ballpark with our neighbors of the other clubs that most of us are members of.  But rest assured nothing was raised more than .25 cents.  The only exception to that is draught beer by the pitcher did go up in price by .50 cents.  While I am on the subject  of beer, due to the fact that our draught Amber Bock is almost a non-seller or a poor seller at best, we will be changing out the Amber Bock draught for either Killian's Irish Red or maybe a Samuel Adams.
    The next thing that I want everyone to know, is that our opening hours are going to change effective September 1, 2011 to opening on Monday through Saturday at 11 am.  I know that we have some early customers in the mornings, and either I or Ann Marie will be available to take care of those customers as long as their drink desires do not consist of exotic drinks.  In other words we will have our regular bartenders on duty at 11:00 am.  This is just one of the cost cutting measures that we have had to make due to the economy and lack of participation in our lounge area.
    PLEASE SUPPORT OUR POST!!!!!!!!  We are always in need of suggestions on ways to improve our service to you.
